Bar Harbor vs Brunswick, they both start with the letter “B.”
Lots of lakes, ponds and mashes, did I mention mosquitos?
“It wasn’t my first tick rodeo.”
I noticed a brown spot of dirt on my inner thigh. When I brushed at it, it moved. What?! I tried to brush it off and it moved again! A Tick!!
And He’s Off - Part Two
He grew smaller and smaller, fading into a tiny red and yellow dot surrounded by greenery until he was no more.
He loves me
I’ve heard “I love you” more this week, especially the past two days, than the last eleven months. Kind of suspicious, if you ask me.
Here we go!
He’ll re-start his ‘epic,’ as in one man, solo, all by himself, camping on the hard ground, bike ride in Minneapolis, MN.
Winter Solstice
Larry’s Intention for the New Year are to finish his bike ride starting where he left off.
End of the Season
My partner is home for the season. Larry stopped his bike ride at approximately halfway between the west coast and the east coast…
The adventure via phone calls and texts
Larry has cycled twelve days covering east Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota.
Happy Happy Joy Joy
“I think my bike weighs 100 pounds,” he said, “that’s the bike plus the packs.” This was a confession…
I’ll pick what’s behind door number two.
I left him pedaling eastbound in big sky country and headed back to Billings KOA.
To Ride or Not to Ride
Sitting on our front porch, eating our orange and cream Goodpops, I asked Larry, “When’s the last possible day you will leave for the remainder of your bike ride?”
The New Plan
Our nagging question continues to be, where will I drop off Larry to continue his ride?
We got up at 4 am
Then the road hugged the mountain with the sheer drop off on my side, my favorite, not.
Whip me, Strip me, Tease me, Fly me.
“Montana sure is beautiful,” I said sitting on a rock with my feet in the ice cold river, “Think you could live here?” I asked.
I had a dream
“I think I’ll call it quits,” Larry announced as he drove to Ken and Natalie’s house.
“No, don’t say that, at least not yet.” I replied.
