Decision Day is Approaching
Tomorrow is September 1st. The tail end of Larry’s self imposed departure window.
Everyday it’s up or down on the see-saw. One day he wants to go and the next day he talks himself into staying home. And wouldn’t you know, the days I’m for him leaving, he wants to stay, and vice versa.
This morning during his packing he said, “I need mini camping cookware.”
I tagged along, our first and only stop was Walmart, they had exactly what he wanted.
“I hate Walmart,” I said as he parked the car.
“Me too. I feel like my IQ goes down a few points.”
“More like a hundred,” I said.
(Sorry Walmart Shoppers)
He packed his panniers and I’m guessing 75 pounds to an already heavy touring bike.
His options are:
Rent a one-way truck and drive self to Montana.
Let me drive him to Montana.
Forget the whole thing and try again next year.
New fangled seat.
Lets see what the evening holds...will he depart tomorrow? And will I help?
Stay tuned for Larry’s big decision....
Heart rocks from our hikes, wonder what he’ll find on the bike tour?
