Sunshine
Our day started with a trip to the Hokitika Gorge, where the water is glacier fed and crystal turquoise.
Our driver Dee, is a classic Kiwi. Everyone here has been nothing short of friendly, kind, with unmatched positivity. Dee suggested I take a photo of Larry from the top of a hill (after I beat him), which I did.
Larry and I rode about 20 miles, through rainforest. I fell once; riding on the left side has been challenging.
Last week, it rained the entire time. They said if we brought rain gear, we wouldn’t need it! And this, this week the weather has been perfect, as is the forecast. I’m going to take credit for the beautiful days, you can call me ‘Sunshine.’ (Actually that was one of my work nicknames, along with ‘Happy Voice’ and ‘Evil-L.’)
