Memories

We’re home and settled from our Canadian “eh” Trip, three weeks instead of the planned six to seven.  We toured part of the Kootenay’s and Vernon, a minuscule portion of British Columbia before returning due to a medical blip.

Ironically two of the three weeks was dedicated travel there and back across northwest U.S.  All of it beautiful, hot as hell and smoky.

We’ve been asked, what is Hipcamp? It’s a mobile app that lets users stay on private land. It’s usually dry camping (no hookups).

Harvest Host is another camping app that requires a membership. It gives campers access to farms, wineries, museums, etc. Some sites have hookups, some do not, and a large percentage are only parking lots.

What did we bring back?  Memories, a few new friends, and a smattering of photos.  Physically we brought home dog food, my new phone and a very cool charcuterie board (for our neighborhood parties).

The moment we hit home, before grocery shopping, Larry washed the dogs!  For three days we gradually eliminated a mountain of laundry.  The camper, S.S.Tunafish is undergoing ant removal, then she’ll get a thorough cleaning and repacking.

Would we go back?  Yes.  When?  No idea.  But we’ll be ready.

Our last campground, Evansville, WY. Again, hot as heck, wanted a campground for AC.

How do we travel with two large dogs in such a compact RV? Easy, trained them to hunker down under the table if we need.
